We continue the massive release series of Archives, covering releases that were originally available on Vinyl, remastered and brought to life for 2023.

Next up are the 2 EPs released on Laurent Garnier’s Fcom label. Released on the FU! Fcom series, These 2 EPs showed Vince’s more deeper techno approach, completely inspired by Mr Garnier’s DJ sets and exquisite taste. 3 tracks of super deep techno with Detroit flavours and Echelon to bring the heat back up again.

Fun fact, in 1993 just after Laurent Garnier released his Planet House EP, Vince sent a Cassette Tape to Eric Morand and Laurent Garnier at Fcom (then known as FNAC Music Dance Division) with demo tracks for release. Sadly the tracks were not ready yet, but Vince received a postcard back in the mail (No Internet in 93!) With a very nice message from them both signed. One of the demo tracks was ‘Echelon’, which ended up being released 12 years later on the label. Vince still has the postcard.

Superbra, Ingoma, Tresor, Delsin and Sphere Archives were released in April. More archives from Poker Flat, Planet E, Alola, Rotation as well as albums like Sublimina, Every Soul Needs A Guide, Echoes From The Future will come soon.

A truly remarkable album! I'd like to add that this is one of very few albums that I think truly sound better on vinyl, as it only enhances the intended experience. Every little bit seeps with atmosphere, like watching a dystopian, heavily grainy, space movie with ships surveying distant planets. That goes for the artwork as well, to which I'm sure everyone can agree, is the perfect marriage of both sound and visualization. Here's to hoping there'll be a 2846! Trisska
